Damien Grief The Hundred Line -Last Defense Academy- Review
Apr 27, 2025
From the minds that gave us the Danganronpa series and the recent Rain Code. The gameplay is similar to those other games in that the story is mostly told through visual novel style dialog, but there are some more voiced cutscenes here than in their previous games. The other gameplay here is combat. The premise is that you're defending a school from monster attacks. When an attack happens, you go out to fight them in a tactical RPG type combat. Each character has different kinds of skills. The battlefield for each battle is smaller than something like XCom, but feels focused and good.
If you don't like these visual novel style games with the anime flare, this game probably won't change your mind. But if you loved Danganronpa or Rain Code and don't mind tactical RPG combat, you'll love this one.
